Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at Leh airport.

    • Coming straight to the altitude of min 3,200 m from a much lower place can cause some health problems. So to avoid that, we suggest our guest to take complete rest for a day to get acclimatized. Later there will be a briefing of the program by the agent or by the company representative.

  • Day 2 :Day 2: Visit to Thiksey and Stok palace. After lunch, check bikes and equipments and visit Shanti Stupa on bike..

    • Second day is good to get out doing some sightseeing because you are already acclimatized. So we will start by visiting Hemis and Thiksey monastery at first and then Stok palace after a hot lunch at Chamba restaurant.O/N Leh

  • Day 3 : Leh to Ulley, visit Alchi temple on way O/N Ulley.

    • Drive to Ulley form Leh after visiting Likir monastery and Alchi temple. Have you hot lunch at Alchi and then move to the resort and rest. O/N Resort

  • Day 4 : Ulley to Kargil, visit Lamayuru monastery and Mulbek Chamba on way to Kargil O/N Kargil.

    • Drive from Ulley to Kargil after the breakfast. On your way visit Lamayuru monastery and then visit Mulbek temple and the statue of Maitreya Buddha. O/N Hotel

  • Day 5 : Kargil to Rangdum drive up to Zanskar border and cycling form there to Rangdum. O/N Camp.

  • Day 6 : Rangdum to Abran cycling via Panzi La (4401mt) 5 to 6 hrs O/N camp.

    • Pantzi La : (Try to look for the information when 1st time it was open for info ok)To enter the land of Chusyul ( Zanskar ) from Kargil side one have to cross Pantzi la which remain closed all winter, many people go by foot to Zanskar during winter from pantzi la. During the summer its open and pass is not so steep its a gradual one and lots of marmot on the way 1 can see and also 2 to 3 natural very small lake and Drang Drum glassier which increase the beauty of pass. Overnight at Camp

      Abran : It is a first small village after crossing Pantzi la. There is a check post to entry.

  • Day 7 : Abran to Sani cycling 4 to 5 hrs..

    • From Abran to Sani village on way there are almost 8 villages that we are going to cross. Villages are small and beautiful coz of its neutrality. On way there is a beautiful monastery called Sangkul, a holly place that can visit if you like but that will increase the time by 3 to 4 hour more. Overnight at Camp

  • Day 8 : Sani to Padum via Karsha monastery 5 to 6 hrs

    • Padum : The main city of zansker . Is a big open area surrounded by many beautiful villages. There is a beautiful market and some beautiful place to visit like Gyawa Rigna ( Five Dhyani Buddha ) all natural stone carving and a preserve grass bridge ..... Overnight at Camp

  • Day 9 : Drive to Munay monastery from Munay to Padum way back cycling via Bardan monastery 6 hrs./span>

    • Bardan: Bardan Monastery is a 17th-century Buddhist monastery, approximately 12 kilometres south of Padum. It belongs to the Dugpa-Kargyud monastic order and was one of the first monasteries of this sect to be established in Zanskar. The monastery also ran several smaller hermitages in the area.The monastery consists of a large Dukhang or assembly hall which has some grand statues of Buddhist figures and several small stupas in clay, bronze, wood and copper.
      After visiting Bardan monastery, we will visit Munay temple. After the visit people who have listed to do the trek to Phugtal monastery will start trekking and after the visit will Camp at Munay when we are back by late afternoon. Rest of the people will go back to the city and next day explore Padum. By the afternoon, the trekking group will also join them for evening briefing and continue with the programme.

  • Day 10 : Rest day at Padum after lunch explore Padum city.

    • Rest And explore the main village Padum after lunch and get briefed about the tour next day. Overnight at guest House.

  • Day 11 : Padum to Zangla cycling and visit nunnery and Zangla palace O/N camp.

    • Zangla; Lying 13km in the north east of Padum, the road continues along the plain above the sunken gorge of the Zanskar River, narrowing as it approaches Zangla, the ancient capital of Zanskar. The ruins of Zangla Fort appear high on a rickety wooden suspension bridge to enter Zangla village.

  • Day 12 : Zangla to Nyarak rafting 4 to 5 hrs O/N camp.

    • This rafting route is used by the people of Zanskar and tourist during the winter to visit Zanskar, which is popularly known as Chadar Trek (Frozen river trek)...... This three day of rafting till the Nimo is just amazing or you can say an astonishing and adventurous. On the both sides it’s a really big wall of rocks with a different colour and people become speech less at many point coz of its beauty.
      Nyarak: After rafting first night camping place on the bank of river Zanskar a small area with a single house.... if you walk for one hour towards the uphill one can see Nyarak village.

  • Day 13 : Nyarak to Chilling rafting 4 to 5 hrs O/N camp

    • It’s a 35 kms long river section which goes through the core of gorge. Here at most of the places its level 3 rapids and at few places there are grade 4. We will stop for lunch at the confluence of the river of Markha and Zanskar. During this trip, you will witness some amazing formations of gorges and rocks.

  • Day 14 : Chiling to Sangam by rafting 3 to 4 hrs and then drive to Leh O/N Hotel.

    • The last day will 38 kms long rafting for almost 4 hrs. After the half way, the rafting becomes easier of grade 2. But before Skorpoche, the rapids are of grade 3. We will finish our rafting trip at the confluence of the river Indus and Zanskar at Nimo. After a hot lunch at Sangam, we will drive back to Leh and enjoy hot shower at Hotel.

  • Day 15 : Leisure or souvenir day at Leh. Evening complementary culture program at Hotel

    • Last day is a free day for you souvenir shopping or free walk around the city. You will escorted to visit Shanti Stupa on demand. In the evening, there will be a cultural show.

  • Day 16 :Fly back to Delhi.

    • Morning, transfer to the Leh airport for your flight to Delhi. It is a spectacular flight of one hour by around noon you reach to your Delhi hotel. If time allows, we can also organize a small sightseeing of the city.
