Tsomoriri to Kiber
13 Nights , 14 Days ( LDK/Trk-TK )Apart from trekking in Ladakh itself , we also trek from Ladakh to the state of Himachal.One of the most common trek is Tsomoriri to Kiber , the village that lies in the state of Himachal. The trek takes you to the world of wilderness and the places beyond imagination. This trek can also be continued straight from Rumtse village and continuing from Tsomoriri to Kiber Village.... Day 1: : Arrival at Leh Airport. You will be escorted to the Hotel by our Company representative.
Coming straight to the altitude of min 3,200 m from a much lower place can cause some health problems. So to avoid that, we suggest our guest to take complete rest for a day to get acclimatized. Later there will be a briefing of the program by the agent or by the company representative. O/N in Hotel
Day 2:: Dive to Hemis and Thiksey monastery and have lunch at Chamba restaurant at Thiksey. Drive to Stok palace after the lunch.
Second day is good to get out doing some sightseeing because you are already acclimatized. So we will start by visiting Hemis and Thiksey monastery at first and then Stok palace after a hot lunch at Chamba restaurant. O/N in Hotel
Day 3 : Leh to Korzok (Tsomoriri Lake) 7-8 hrs
A relaxed day at the lake where we get to walk around this beautiful lake 24 Km long lake at an altitude of 4242 meters. During this season we get to see thousands of migratory birds gliding on the lake which include geese, duck while around the lake you can spot the resident species of white-winged redstart, robin accentor, Asian martin, white-throated dipper and finches
Day 4 : Korzok to Kyangdam (4595m) 5 hrs.
Today you will walk from Korzok to another end of the Lake with a few ups and downs. O/N in Camp
Day 5 :Kyangdam to Skitpodangsa (4563m) or Nurboo Sumdo (4-5 hrs.)
This day is again an easy walking on the flat ground to Nurboo Sumdo. Pass through spring (Chumik Sharte) and the campsite is a deep ground near the river and spring. O/N in Camp
Day 6 : Skitpodangsa or Nurbo Sumdo to Getpabuzak (4600m) 5-6 hrs.
If you camp at Nurboo Sumdo don’t forget to carry sandal with you for water crossing. O/N in Camp
Day 7 : Getpabuzak to Tarangyokma (4731m) 4-5 hrs.
This day is again straightforward walking along the river with on the rolling plateau before the Valley widens. O/N in Camp.
Day 8 :Tarangyokma to Kharsagongma (4900m) or Parang la base (Bubnen) (5089m) 3-4 hrs
If you are in big group its ideal to camp at Kharsagongma as there is space for only a few tents. O/N in Camp
Day 9 : Kharsagongma to Takkarzong (4850m) via Parang La (5588m)
Cross the river immediate after leaving the Camp . As you walk upwards, craves become very narrow from where you can cross the glacier . O/N in Camp
Day 10 : Takkarzong to Thangltak (4500m) 4-5 hrs.
It’s vertical walking down to the Parangchu and remains walking at the same level along the Paranghu to the east for sometimes before you take another exhausting Climb to Thangltak. Kibber is just another 3 hours walk from here. O/N in Camp
Day 11 : Thangltak to Kibber 3 hrs.
Take the straight trail towards east with gentle ascend. From the highest point you will walk steep down to bridge with a few zigzag trails. Cross the bridge and reach Kibber village. O/N in Guesthouse.
Day 12 : Kibber to Manali
Day 13 : Manali to Delhi
Day 14 : Departure to Delhi
