Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival at Leh Airport. You will be escorted to the Hotel by our Company representative. Rest for proper acclimatization.

    • Coming straight to the altitude of min 3,200 m from a much lower place can cause some health problems. So to avoid that, we suggest our guest to take complete rest for a day to get acclimatized. Later there will be a briefing of the program by the agent or by the company representative.

  • Day 2: Leh SightSeeing

    • Second day is good to get out doing some sightseeing because you are already acclimatized. So we will Start by visiting Hemis and Thiksey monastery at first and then Stok palace after a hot lunch at Chamba restaurant. O/N in Hotel

  • Day 3 : Drive to Lamayuru monastery.

    • Drive to Lamayuru village via Alchi. Have a hot lunch at Alchi after visiting the temple and then head to Lamayuru. You will come across many villages before reaching your destination.Overnight at Hotel.

  • Day 4: Lamayuru to Wanla

    • From the village with the famous monastery you cross a stream and climb the first pass. After a gradually climb across the mountain side you reach a small valley which follows as far as the first pass Prinkiting-La 3.720 m (12.140 ft). The pass is crossed after a gentle and short climb. Go down into a narrow gorge until reaching the village of Shilla. Cross the river over a bridge and then take the right bank as far as the next village Wanla. Wanla is a pretty village with a gompa high up on crag and makes a pleasant place to stop.

  • Day 5 : Wanla to Konskila base

    • Today you have to cross Shibuk-la (5.130m)a near the camp site. There is hill saddle, so you have cross right saddle. As soon as you come on the top of the pass you can have view of Tsokar Lake. Walk down the to the Tsokar Lake through an easy descent to the Lake, as soon as you finish the gorge walk from the hill as the campsite is just behind the hill.

  • Day 6 : Konski La Base to Sumda chenmo via Konski La pass 4,900mt

    • It is a strenuous climb to the Konzke-La 4.900 m (16.080 ft), but you're rewarded with views all the way back to the last pass Prinkiti-La 3.720 m (12.140 ft). During the summer month shepherds from Hinju cross the Konzke-La so that they can graze their livestock in this valley. The trail passes some of their huts and enclosures where they make butter, curd and cheese. You may see the cheese spread out on the ground to dry. It is dried into small white nuggets which then keep for years; very little is eaten fresh. From the summit of Konzke-La it's a long descent to pastures. The path gets close to the river. Several good campsites are at the edge of the river. Continue on the left bank along the mountain side to Sumda Chenmo (3.900 m) (12.795 ft.). This isolated village shows few signs of change and the villagers are still largely self-sufficient.

  • Day 7 :Sumda chenmo to Dung Dung Chen La Base

    • After Sumdah the path becomes more difficult to follow until reaching shelter formed by rocks. Shelters and pastures are on the half way up to the Dun-Dun chan-La 4.700 m (10.660 ft).

  • Day 8 :Rachungkaru to Gyamalhoma (7 hrs)

    • After Sumdah the path becomes more difficult to follow until reaching shelter formed by rocks. Shelters and pastures are on the half way up to the Dun-Dun chan-La 4.700 m (10.660 ft).

  • Day 9 :Chilling to Leh (3 options to Complete the trek).

    • The last from Chilling to Leh will have 3 options to complete the tour.

        Option 1
      • Cycling from Chilling to Sangam, which will be the ride of around 3 hrs. And hot lunch at Sangam and driving back to Leh.

        Option 2
      • Rafting from Chilling to Sangam , also for around 3hrs. Hot Lunch at Sangam and drive back to Leh.

        Option 3
      • Drive straight back to Leh for hot lunch at Hotel.

      In the evening, there will be a complementary Cultural Show at the Hotel.

  • Day 10 : Rest and shopping.

    • Last day is free for you to shop around. You can visit Shanti Stupa afterwards. In the evening there will be a cultural show on demand. O/N at Hotel

  • Day 11 : Departure.
