This is the package that includes the tour not only in Ladakh and Manali but also in Delhi as we also organize tour in Delhi and many of the other places. Once you see the glimpse of Delhi, you fly to Leh to see the true beauty on nature and after visiting most of the places in Leh you travel by road to Manali via many passes and through some very beautiful valleys until you are dropped back at Delhi to complete the 14 days tour.Best Time: June to Sept.
Day 1 : Delhi - Leh
Arrival at Leh airport to be receives by a representative of Adventure Ibex and transferred to the Hotel. Check in to the hotel for a half day of rest. Post lunch visit Leh Market, Leh Palace and Shanti Stupas is a best view point for Leh city from where one can enjoy beautiful view of Stok Kangri and Tsemo Castle(Shanti Stupa build by Japanese and inaugurated by H.H The 14th Dalai Lama) O/N Leh.
Day 2 :Leh - Alchi - Leh 6-7 hrs
After breakfast drive for full day sightseeing to the Alchi Monastery build in 10th century by Lo-tsa-wa Rinchen Zangpo,inside monastery one can still see the magnificent paintings (All the 32 artist who worked to build monastery are Hindu), Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Hall of Fame museum and Sangam (Confluence of Zanskar & Indus River) O/N Leh.
Day 3 : Thiksay - Hemis - Stok 6-7 hrs
After breakfast drive for full day sightseeing to the East of Ladakh Thiksay (One of the most beautiful monastery in Ladakh.Built in 1430 and popularly known as Little Potala).Hemis monastery (Biggest and most famous monastery in Ladakh.Hemis also has a very beautiful museum with a souvenir shop). Stok palace(The palace was built in 1825 by the king Tsespal Tondup. Around in 1834, the royal family was forced to flee to Stok palace when Zorawar Singh, the army general of Dogra king annexed Ladakh and ended the Kings rule of Ladakh. The royal family still lives at the palace. At present the palace museum has a collection of Royal dresses, Kings Crown, Ornaments and Jewels etc)O/N Leh
Day 4 : Leh - Nubra Valley (Sumur) 120 Kms / 5-6 hrs
Drive to Nubra Valley North of Ladakh via Highest motor able road Khardung La (18380 ft). After taking rest at Hotel visit Samstanling monastery(Samstenling Monastery founded by Lama Tsultim Nima more than 150 years ago, is the biggest attraction of Sumur. The monastery comprises of seven different temples and has a huge collection of Thangkas and arduously restored frescoes). During evening Local women of village performs cultural program, O/N at Yarab tso Hotel or camp.
Day 5 : Sumur - Hunder 1-2 hrs
Next morning after the breakfast, drive towards the other side of Nubra Valley .Visit Diskit Monastery (Built in around 1340, Diskit Monastery is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (Gonpa) in Nubra Valley . It belongs to the Gelukpa (Yellow Hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded by Changzem Tserab Zangpo, a disciple of Tsong Khapa, founder of Gelukpa, in the 14th century .From top of Monastery one can enjoy the beautiful view of Nubra Valley).After taking rest in a hotel at Hunder. You can also enjoy camel ride at sand dune O/N at Hunder.
Day 6 :Nubra - Leh 5 - 6 hrs.
After Breakfast drive back to Leh via Khardong La O/N Leh.
Day 7 : SightSeeing around Leh 4-5 hrs
Drive Shey to visit the new dog care centre where all the stray dogs are being taken care of and visit to Snow Leopard Conservation centre at Changspa Leh .Back for lunch at Hotel. After the lunch, drive to see the Donkey Sanctuary and Shanti Stupa for Sunset view.
Day 8 : leh - Tsomoriri Lake 8-9 hrs
After Breakfast Drive towards East of Ladakh Tsomoriri Lake.On the way we stop at Chumatang for Lunch.After lunch continue the journey towards Tsomoriri, on the way one can see Nomads with their tents and beautiful animals O/N camp at Tsomoriri.
Day 9 : Tsomiriri - Tsokar Lake 7-8 hrs
Morning after Breakfast, before leaving for Tsokar Lake, there will be a visit to the Nomadic camps to witness the Nomads life with their animal (Sheep, Goats and yaks) and to watch them milking, which is the most spectacular thing to see (the way they do it is very amazing). After seeing the Nomads, drive to Tsokar Lake (Salt Lake) on way visit nomad tent. Overnight at camp
Day 10 : Tsokar Lake - Jispa(Himachal Pradesh) 9-10 hrs
Today the drive will be little hard as compared to the rest. After the breakfast one have to start there journey as soon as possible(Rough and bumpy Road).
Day 11 : Jispa - Manali via Rotang La pass 3978m 7-8 hrs
Today we will continue the drive towards Manali for around 7 to 8 hrs. Through out our journey, we will come across the beautiful valley of Kaylong and the famous pass of Rohtang with its elevation of 3978m.
Day 12 : Manali - Delhi 12 - 13 hrs
Drive to Delhi .
Day 13: Departure
